Peer review
Experts are:
- solicited for their expertise in the field being evaluated;
- responsible for the evaluation judgement;
- where applicable, appointed as chair of the expert committees;
- full authors of the evaluation reports signed by the committee chair;
- accompanied by Hcéres teams
Composition of the expert committee
The expert committees are composed of professionals with complementary profiles in order to guarantee independent, qualitative and pluralistic analysis.
The chair of the committee and the experts are appointed by Hcéres in accordance with the following principles:
- neutrality, impartiality and absence of conflicts of interest;
- skills and experience appropriate to the scope of the evaluation;
- diversity of expertise and gender balance;
- international outlook, where relevant;
- composition appropriate to the characteristics of the actor being evaluated.
Depending on the nature of the evaluation, the committee may include additional profiles, in particular from:
- students or recent graduates;
- the administrative sphere of higher education and research;
- the socio-economic, associative or cultural world;
- staff evaluation bodies and research support staff.
