Applicable law and election of jurisdiction
Any user who logs onto the website does so under his or her sole responsibility. Hcéres cannot be held liable for any loss or damage arising from any kind of malfunction whatsoever, for any suspension or cessation of the website, or for any damage to property or consequential loss that might result from connection to the website in any manner.
The website content is the exclusive property of Hcéres. By virtue of Article L.122-4 of the French Intellectual Property Code, these items are protected by copyright. In principle, any reproduction is subject to authorisation by Hcéres.
In accordance with public intellectual property law and Article L.122-5 of the French Intellectual Property Code in particular, “official documents”, such as declarations, speeches, press kits and press releases, may be freely used.
However, the principles of good practice require any reuse of this content, in whole or in part, to include clear mention of the source and, if applicable, the publication date. The reuse of such documents, in whole or in part, is therefore authorised, subject to stating the name of the author and the source, of course.
Reuse for non-commercial purposes is authorised, provided that the integrity of the information is maintained, its meaning, scope and application are not altered, and its origin and publication date are clearly stated.
Authorisation requests for the reproduction of content must be sent by email.
The new European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) came into effect on 25 May 2018. It reinforces and enhances the provisions of the French Data Protection Act (Loi informatique et liberté) which aims to ensure the transparency and protection of your personal data. We encourage you to read our policy on the management and protection of your personal data.
The hceres.fr website has been developed according to the recommendations of the Référentiel général d’accessibilité des administrations (RGAA - French standards for the accessibility of French government and public authority online resources), and the W3C standards. The target level of accessibility for the website is “Bronze”.
The current version of the website falls short of this target on certain points: the multimedia (video) content is not accessible and the infographics are not transcribed.
The www.hceres.com website may include links to other sites, primarily official websites (government, institutions, public bodies, etc.), but also to French and foreign websites of associations, professional bodies in the higher education and research sector, or partner companies for specific operations.
Hcéres cannot be held liable for the content of the pages to which these links direct the user. They serve solely to facilitate the website user’s access to other documentary resources on the subject under consideration.
The information and/or documents available on this website are subject to amendment at any time and may be updated. Hcéres cannot, under any circumstances, be held liable for any loss or damage of any nature whatsoever resulting from the interpretation or use of the information and/or documents on these websites.
In addition, third parties are authorised to create hypertext links to pages or documents published on the Hcéres website, provided that the links are not contrary to the interests of Hcéres, and that they ensure that users are able to identify the author and the origin of the document.
