Scientific integrity is the foundation on which trust is built between research communities and also between these communities and society as a whole. To provide a framework and an impetus at national level, the French Office for Research Integrity (Ofis) was created in March 2017.

These guides are the result of methodological work conducted in dialogue and consultation with all stakeholders. They contain all the information necessary to carry out an evaluation.

History

For several decades, the evaluation of higher education and research has been constantly evolving. From the creation of the National Evaluation Committee in 1984 to the establishment of the High Council for the Evaluation of Research and Higher Education, which became an independent public authority in 2022, each step has been aimed at ensuring the quality of European higher education through a common and structured framework.
