hceres.fr, the online home of the High Council for Evaluation of Research and Higher Education, reflects Hcéres’ identity as a partner for progress. Pride of place is given to the presentation of Hcéres’ activities and know-how, and the whole site has been overhauled to ensure easier access to content and a more intuitive browsing experience.

Engineering schools reassert their commitment to research integrity

At a ceremony held on 22 January 2019, the CDEFI, the French Office for Research Integrity (OFIS), the French Advisory Board for Research Integrity (CoFIS), Ecole des Ponts ParisTech, the National School of Geographical Science in Marne-la-Vallée, ELISA Aerospace, EPF Ecole d’ingénieur·e·s, EPITA, the Centre Val de Loire National Institute for Applied Sciences, Troyes Technological University and Yncréa Hauts-de-France all signed up to the French Charter for Research Integrity.

Hcéres publishes the first integrated evaluation report for a cluster of higher education and research institutions

On Tuesday 1st February, Hcéres published its first integrated evaluation report on a cluster of higher education and research institutions, the HESAM Université COMUE (Community of Universities and Institutions). The integrated evaluation highlights the strengths and fragilities of a site and an assessment of its development challenges.

French archaelogy: Hcéres publishes its first "Synthesis and future perspectives" report

On Tuesday 21 May 2019, the French High Council for Evaluation of Research and Higher Education (Hcéres) published a report on the current state of French archaeology and its future prospects. This “cross-cutting assessment” of an academic discipline is the first report of its kind produced by Hcéres.

Inrap signs the French Charter for Research Integrity

On Wednesday 12 June, Dominique Garcia, President of the National Institute for Research in Preventive Archaeology (Inrap), and Joëlle Alnot, Director of the French Office for Research Integrity (Ofis), signed the French Charter for Research Integrity in the presence of Michel Pernot, coordinator of the national network of research integrity officers.

Europe produces more scientific publications than China and the USA, but the USA still leads in terms of excellence

"Dynamics of Scientific Production in the World, in Europe and in France, 2000-2016", published today by Hcéres, studies scientific output in the world, in Europe and in France. The report devotes special attention to the impact of the growth in Chinese output on bibliometric indicators for other countries. The report thus provides a complement to recent analyses of the positioning of research-intensive countries.

On Thursday 13 June, Prof. Eric Solary, Director of Research at Gustave Roussy, signed up to the French Charter for Research Integrity on behalf of the Institute, in the presence of Joëlle Alnot, Director of the French Office for Research Integrity (Ofis).
